Radio
Controlled Model Airplane Courses
These
radio-controlled model airplane courses are unique.
There is nothing like it in the market today.
The
instructor is an ex-Israeli Air force instructor and
pilot. He has at least 6 years of experience instructing
children and adults in radio-controlled airplanes.
All
classes and requirements are held at the highest level
of quality and professionalism. The courses, flight,
design and construction are performed by a professional
with 20 years of experience.
These
courses are recommended for children of the ages of
11 and up.
I
will be happy to give a free presentation with you
and your associates of flying the radio controlled
airplane, and demonstrate the levels of classes, flight,
experience and fun.
Basic
Syllabus for Aviation / Model Airplane Course
The students will experience hands on technique learning
the properties, structure and details of airplanes,
as well as learn the complexities of aerodynamics.
They
will transition through a hierarchy of model airplanes,
each requiring progressive skill levels, starting
with simple hand gliders, and moving to rubber engine
planes, control line planes, until they finally reach
the remote controlled model.
The
students will learn to build and design remote controlled
airplanes, and in doing so will be introduced to complex
materials such as carbon fiber, balsa wood, and others.
They
will be growing in many ways by experiencing discipline,
concentration, hand-eye coordination, problem-solving
techniques, and scientific and mathematical skills,
all of which they will encounter while enjoying themselves.
Additionally, the skills they will gain will enhance
their self-esteem, and open their minds to more complex
thinking.
The ability to recognize different types of airplanes
will be developed. The children will begin to understand
the difference between the jet, prop, plane and glider,
as well as understand why they are different and the
different uses for them. Aviation films and movies
will be included to supplement the children’s
knowledge for recognition of different types of airplanes.
First
time recognition and understanding of gasoline engine
will also be developed as well as the combination
of electronics with Radio Controlled planes.
Trips
to the airfield should also be coordinated to allow
the students actual flying time. To supplement actual
flying time, a flight simulator will also be used
in conjunction with a projector screen.
The
overall course and program will function with a few
levels of skill.
1. Beginner
2. Advanced
3. Master
Breakdown
of Course
Introduction
The students will get their first view
and experience of a model airplane. Overall introduction,
with questions and answers to get the minds thinking.
History of Flight
The program also includes the history of flight from
the first design of the airplane by Leonardo da Vinci,
to the Wright Brothers, to the modern airplanes that
have been developed today by companies such as NASA.
Fundamentals
Overview of the parts of an airplane
and their functions.
Primary
Building Technique / Model Airplane Design Techniques

Optional
Additional Course Features
NASA
- Option to coordinate with NASA Kids, to incorporate
knowledge with space technology. Plus optional tour
in one of NASA’s resorts.
RADIO
DAYS – This would be short trips (1/2 or full
day) to the Airfield to fly the radio controlled airplanes.
SUMMER
RC CAMP – Kids will camp for a week and learn
the basics of Aerodynamics and radio controlled flight.
ADULT
NIGHT CLASSES – Classes can also be held for
adults in the more advanced level course, for example
– an evening class that will involve radio control
airplanes and free flight gliders.
FATHER
& SON COURSE – In addition, evening courses
can be held that will combine family together. |
